Through research activities, reports, and annual publications, the Department seeks to identify new measures and tools that use IT and artificial intelligence in favor of heritage, paying the utmost attention to IT security.
The department has the aim to formulate and develop strategies and policies involving the use of IT tools for the promotion and protection of cultural heritage, both tangible and intangible, and natural heritage.
The Department organizes seminars, events, and conferences. It also offers courses and training activities and awareness-raising activities aimed at developing new technologies for the preservation of heritage, while fully guaranteeing security, in collaboration with universities and relevant authorities all over the world.
