Environmental economist at Eurac Research, he carries out research on climate change governance, sustainable risk, green economy, markets and business models for ecosystem services and innovative environmental policies, including behavioral ones. He regularly cooperates with research and international organizations. He participated in international environmental negotiations and groups. Luca has been teaching environmental economics in Italian and British universities. He publishes in academic and other journals.

Researcher at Eurac Research. Environmental economist, he has carried out international research on the governance of adaptation to climate change, sustainable risk, sustainability indicators, green economy in mountain territories and inland areas, markets and "business models" for ecosystem services, and innovative environmental policies, including behavioral ones. Lecturer of environmental economics and sustainability in Italian and British business schools and universities. He regularly collaborates with the Italian Delegation in the Alpine Convention as an expert on climate change and green economy. He has participated in missions for the evaluation and review of environmental policies with international organizations such as OECD and UNECE. He has worked as an expert in environmental and climate policies and in the enhancement and sustainable management of protected areas in projects promoted by UNEP and FAO. He regularly works with major environmental Foundations in Italy on research and cooperation projects. He has published in academic journals and books, and edited national and international publications.
