Ahmed Aubais Al-Fatlawi is a full Professor of Public International Law, a member of the faculty of law at the University of Kufa/, and a lecturer at the Al- Alamein Institute for Postgraduate Studies.
Ahmed Aubais Al-Fatlawi specializes in international criminal law and holds a doctorate in law from the Higher Institute of the Lebanese University in 2012. He also obtained a diploma in international humanitarian law from the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights in 2017. He is a full- professor at the Faculty of Law/University of Kufa and a lecturer at Alamein Institute for Postgraduate Studies. Professor Al-Fatlawi has participated in many international academic forums, such as his participation in advanced seminars on international humanitarian law launched by the International Committee of the Red Cross in 2017.
Professor Al-alfatlawi participated with experts from prestigious academies worldwide to update the guidelines for protecting the natural environment during armed conflict. Published by the ICRC in 2020
He also participated with many international experts in updates on the Third Geneva Convention of 1949, published by Cambridge University Press 2021.
Author of more than ten books on international criminal law and international humanitarian law, in addition to preparing legal studies in cooperation with the University Network for the Protection of Children in Armed Conflict.
He currently supervises several doctoral and master's students in public law.
Finally, he is currently a member of the Scientific Committee of the National Committee for International Humanitarian Law, Office of the Iraqi Prime Minister.
